How Many Sections Does a Yoga Teacher Website need if You Only Needed One Page?

People often ask, “If I only have one page, how much should I include?”

The simple answer is: enough to help people know who you are, what you offer, and how to connect.

If your site is modular, you don’t have to fit everything in right away. Each section can grow later. The goal is clarity.

Here’s a framework I use when designing one page websites for yoga teachers. Most work well with five to seven sections.

1. Hero or Welcome

Your first section is like stepping into the studio. It sets the tone.

A short headline that feels true to you. One image that carries your presence. A clear next step like “Join a class” or “Book a session.”

Keep it open. Keep it light.

2. About or Teaching Approach

This is where people meet you.

Share what informs your teaching. Add your photo and pronouns. Include one or two sentences about your current focus or curiosity.

It does not need to be your full story. Just enough to build trust.

3. Classes or Offerings

Think of this like a menu. What are the ways people can practice with you.

Group classes. Private sessions. Workshops. Retreats. Each can sit in its own block or accordion.

Add one clear button like “See schedule” or “Book now.”

4. Philosophy or Values

This part brings depth.

Share what guides your teaching. It could be your lineage, a mentor, or a framework like Skill in Action or trauma informed yoga.

Sometimes a short quote says enough.

5. Community or Testimonials

Let others speak for you.

Share a few words from students or studios. It does not have to be formal. Just honest reflections about what it feels like to work with you.

6. Schedule or Call to Action

Make it easy for people to take the next step.

Add your embedded schedule or a link to book a class. Highlight what is current. Keep it simple.

7. Contact or Footer

Close with a clear and warm way to connect.

Add your email, social links, and newsletter sign up if you have one. This can expand later into a full contact or resources page.

The sweet spot

Most yoga teachers need five to seven sections. That’s enough to tell your story and leave space for what’s next.

If you want the site to feel more like a story, use five sections.
Hero → About → Offerings → Schedule → Contact.

You can always add more later.

A reminder

A one page website is not a smaller version of something else. It is a focused expression of where you are right now.

When it is modular, it grows with you. You can add, shift, and expand as your teaching changes.

Start small. Start clear. Let it breathe.
