How to Add + Design a Donation Block on Squarespace

If people already love what you do, chances are they’ve asked how they can support you. That’s where donations on Squarespace come in. The platform makes it easy to set up a secure way for your community to give—and with a little design intention, you can make sure that generosity actually turns into action.

Setting Up the Donation Block

Squarespace has a built-in Donation Block, so you don’t need extra tools. Once your site is connected to a payment processor (Stripe, PayPal, or Square), you’re ready to add one:

  1. Go to the page where you want the block to show up.

  2. Click Edit → Add Block → Donation.

  3. Add your title, short description, and suggested amounts—or let people choose their own.

That’s it. The tech part is simple.

Designing It So People Actually Donate

The difference-maker is how you design the section around your donation block. Here are a few ways to make it work harder for you:

  1. Keep it easy to find.

Don’t hide your donation section at the bottom of the page. Place it where people naturally pause—like on your homepage or in a clear “Support Us” page.

  2. Speak to the heart.

Use one or two sentences to explain why their support matters: “Your donation helps make wellness accessible to more people in our community.”

  3. Pair it with visuals.

A photo of your classes, your community, or even something symbolic can help people feel connected.

  4. Guide the gift.

Suggested amounts with impact make it tangible: $5 covers props for each student, $15 supports one student, $50 funds a full class session.

Bringing It All Together

Think of your donation section as a little landing page inside your site. If someone only saw this part, would they understand what you do and feel moved to give? If the answer is yes, you’ve set yourself up well.

Tip: If you are using our free Canva Visual Template or have the Modular Website, you can easily duplicate the service section design to create your donation section. Using the same structure keeps your site consistent and makes it simple for people to recognize and respond to your call-to-action.
