Aldea Counseling is a bilingual therapy practice in New York offering individual, couples, and family therapy with a culturally responsive approach. Their mission is to create a therapeutic village—“aldea” meaning village—where clients feel seen, supported, and empowered to grow.

Clearly explain their approach to pricing in a way that felt equitable without alienating anyone.

Content Structure and Guidance

The client came in knowing they needed a website but weren’t sure what should go on it. I helped structure the site in a way that clearly outlines their services, team, and approach, making sure each page has a purpose and flows intuitively for visitors.
Stock Photography Curation

To complement their existing brand, I curated stock photos that evoke warmth, openness, and community care, avoidedoverly clinical or corporate imagery and reflect diverse identities, in alignment with their culturally responsive practice.
Pricing Page Layout

While I didn’t write the copy, I structured the Rates and Pricing page to present information in a straightforward, digestible way, highlight their standard rates alongside reduced fee options with dignity and reflect their equity commitment without alienating clients—balancing transparency with warmth.
Easy-to-Manage Design

Description goes hereBecause the team isn’t very tech savvy, I designed the site to be simple for them to update on their own—whether adding new therapists, adjusting service details, or updating scheduling links—so they can keep their digital home current without overwhelm.

Aldea Counseling reminded me that design is about more than aesthetics—it’s about creating spaces where people feel welcome, respected, and supported. In collaboration with branding work and copywriting from rise collective, the website now:
