Ziva Yoga is a cosy studio tucked into a shophouse in Tanjong Pagar, Singapore. Since 2014, they’ve been creating a homey, welcoming space where people can slow down, breathe, and move mindfully—whether they’re complete beginners or seasoned practitioners. Their focus is on alignment, breath, and creating a grounded practice that supports everyday life.

Project Goals

When Ziva Yoga reached out, they wanted their website to feel like walking into their studio—calm, warm, and unpretentious. They needed:

  • A site that clearly explains their class types so students know what to expect.

  • Pricing presented simply and accessibly.

  • An organised way to showcase their teacher trainings, workshops, and international retreats.

  • Styling that reflected their studio’s earthy, grounded aesthetic.

  • A backend that was easy to manage themselves, since they weren’t especially tech savvy.

WHAT WE CREATED

  • Warm and grounded layout

    We designed a layout that mirrors the feeling of Ziva’s physical space—calm, open, and welcoming. The structure guides visitors naturally from learning about classes to checking pricing, signing up for retreats, or exploring teacher trainings. Generous negative space and intentional section breaks keep everything feeling breathable and easy to navigate.

  • Color Palette

    The color palette uses soft creams, warm neutrals, and earthy browns, anchored by a thoughtful pop of color for energy and focus throughout the site. This pop of color is used sparingly for buttons, highlights, and headings to draw the eye without overpowering the calm aesthetic.

  • Typography

    Typography choices combine a clean, modern sans-serif for body text with subtle serif accents for headings, making everything easy to read while adding a quiet refinement that feels aligned with Ziva’s grounded, approachable brand.

  • Human-Centred Pages

    Each class type has its own dedicated section explaining what it involves and who it’s for, from alignment-focused Hatha to soothing Soundbath + Yin sessions. Pricing is laid out simply and kindly, with clear options for drop-ins, class packs, and intro deals, making it easy for students to choose what fits their needs without overwhelm.

  • Thoughtful Content Structure

    We organised the site to support all their offerings. Teacher trainings needed space for detailed information and application steps, while workshops and retreats were presented clearly and invitingly. Everything flows intuitively, so visitors can find what they need with ease.

  • Photography Direction

    Instead of generic stock photos, we curated imagery that feels lived-in and authentic—students practising in natural light, teachers guiding with genuine care, and quiet moments from their studio space. Combined with their own photos, these images build trust and create an immediate sense of belonging.

  • Easy Updates Without Tech Stress

    Finally, we built the site so their team can manage it confidently. Whether adding a new workshop, updating pricing, or changing class descriptions, they can keep the site current without worrying about breaking anything.

Designing Ziva Yoga’s website wasn’t just about making something pretty. It was about creating an online space that feels as grounded and welcoming as their studio itself—a site where people feel calm, informed, and ready to step onto the mat before they even walk through the door.
